Q. I found a pile of travertine tile in my newly purchased house. It's not used anywhere in the house but would like to use it for a bathroom floor. Problem is, many of the tiles have holes that go through, some as big as a dime. Is there anything to do to make this tile usable?
A. What you have is "unfilled" travertine. It can be filled with polyester fill or what is called traverfil. This is really not a do-it-yourself project so I would suggest you call in a PRO to have it filled as well as installed. To find a Certified SurpHaces PRO Partner in your area contact us.
