Q: I had my ceramic tiles acid washed with a mix of 2 parts muriatic acid and 2 parts water. It cleaned up heavy clacification but tiles remain smokey and cloudy. Do I have options to improve the finish other than polishing? Would a baking soda and white vinegar formed into a paste be helpful?
A: In the past, I have dealt with problems such as this one at Stone Forensics . It is possible to bring back the original look. You can try using a tile polish yourself to see if you can remove the film. A quality tile polish, available at Stone Care Central .
