How To Remove a Stain on Quartzite Countertop


Q. I spread a dark blue hand towel on the counter top and was working on it, when I removed the towel a couple hours later a darkened stain/discoloration was left behind that outlined where the towel was. I tried Stonetech Cleaner on it, but it won‘t go away. It‘s now been hours and the stain/discoloration looks the same. My wife is going to kill me! I have no idea what happened. Help!

A. You will need to apply a poultice using a strong hydrogen peroxide solution and an absorbent medium. Use the kind of hydrogen peroxide that hair stylists use, that is, 20 volume, which you can find at a beauty supply store.
