Vinegar and water make a great cleaner for ceramic tile, but should never be used to clean marble. Do not use vinegar on marble! Vinegar contains acidic acid, which will dull the finish. If you should happen to use vinegar the marble should be polished using a marble polishing powder. In severe cases it may be necessary to rehone the floor. If honing is required, a 400 grit resin bond diamond should be the only grit necessary.
