This depends on several factors, including how often the shower is used and what type of sealer was originally applied. After identifying the product, refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations. If water is no longer beading on the shower walls, sealer reapplication would be advisable.
TIP As a general rule of thumb it is best to reseal a shower wall at least once a year. Before resealing make sure the shower is dry. It may be advisable to wait at least 24 hours after the last shower to apply a sealer. Also make sure any soap film is removed before applying the sealer.
