Correcting Yellowing Problem After Recrystalization of White Thassos

When recrystallization is used on Thassos marble, yellowing can occur. The yellowing is probably caused by a reaction of the chemicals in the recrystallization product and the iron in the marble. Not all recrystallization products cause this yellowing. Always test an area prior to polishing the entire floor. To remove yellowing, hone the entire floor.

TIP When using the recrystallization process on Thassos marble it is very important that the floor be dry. It is a good idea to wait at least 24 hours or longer after honing to apply recrystallization.
