How do I prevent my dining room chairs from scratching my marble floor?

The chair legs need to have plastic or cloth felt protectors attached to them. These protectors are small square or round tabs that are designed to prevent scratching. They are available at most hardware and home supply centers.

TIP If you cannot find these protectors you can make them using the female side of Velcro. Velcro is available at most sewing supply and hardware stores. Velcro can be purchased in strips with a sticky side. Cut the Velcro to the size you need and stick it to the surface of the chair leg.
