I have a customer with a granite floor that has just been installed and the installer left a grout film all over the surface . What can I use to remove this film?

The best cleaner to use for removing grout residue from a granite floor is sulfamic acid. Sulfamic acid is sold as a grout cleaner and works well on granite surfaces. Do not use on marble or limestone since the acid will etch these surfaces. Sulfamic acid can be found at tile supply stores, home centers and from marble equipment suppliers.

TIP There are also non-acidic grout film removers available that work effectively on both granite and marble surfaces. Check the resource directory for further information on these products.
