I have a granite panel wall that has some kind of coating on it. Methylene chloride is the only thing that takes it off. Is there any other chemical that might work?

Estimated Reading Time: < 1 Minute

Yes, there are several chemicals now available that are as effective as methylene chloride. They are known as non-methylene chloride strippers or safety strippers. These alternative strippers work very well but are much slower than methylene chloride. These chemicals can be purchased at home centers, hardware stores and chemical supply houses.

CAUTION If you use methylene chloride, carefully follow the disposal requirements on the MSDS and use extreme caution.
