I have a white marble vanity top in my master bathroom. It tends to develop white dull spots. What can I do to remove them?

Estimated Reading Time: < 1 Minute

These white dull spots are probably etch marks caused by cosmetics, shaving lotion, etc. To remove them, the vanity will have to be polished, and, depending on the severity of the etch, possibly honed. I would recommend calling a stone professional, since honing and polishing are difficult procedures. Once the vanity top is restored, I would suggest sealing it with a good stone sealer to help prevent further etching.

TIP Many companies are in the process of developing sealers that will prevent acid etching on marble tops. Check the resource directory for further information of these new sealers.
