Wax build-up on a vertical surface can be difficult to remove, since most strippers will run. Janitorial supply stores do offer spray-on baseboard wax removers that work very well; since they are applied as a foam, they will cling to vertical surfaces, allowing for easy removal. If you cannot find any of these formulas, a spray-on oven cleaner would be a good substitute.
Whichever chemical you use make sure to rinse throughly with clean water. Many of these chemicals can damage the terrazzo if they dry on the surface.
