Recurring Stains on Stone

Once a stain is removed, it may come back, depending on how deep the stain is or what caused the stain in the first place. If the stain is coming from behind the stone, chances are it may come back. If this is the case and the stain reappears I would replace the stone if possible.

TIP When dealing with any stain it is important to determine where the stain is coming from. If you are trying to remove a rust stain that is coming from a rusty nail below the tile, you will only pull more rust to the surface. In this case the nail should be removed first.
