Someone told me I could use car wax on my granite vanity top. Is this true? If not, what should I use to protect it and keep the shine?

Most of the marble and stone polishes on the market contain the same type of wax found in everyday car wax. However, I would be cautious about applying car wax to a stone counter top; the newer car waxes contain colorants which could stain the stone. I would suggest purchasing a stone furniture polish made specifically for stone.

TIP If you choose to use car wax, purchase a brand that contains carnauba waxes
