Impregnators Can Be Over-applied
Estimated Reading Time: < 1 MinuteTo properly apply an impregnator it is important that the stone is thoroughly saturated with sealer. If too much sealer is applied it will puddle on the surface. This excess should be removed, otherwise it will dry and form a sticky residue. If this happens simply remove with mineral spirits. To prevent puddling remove excess impregnator with a dry towel.
TIP Many water based impregnators will form a hard crust on the surface if allowed to puddle. If this occurs you will need to remove this crust by using a powder polish or it may require rehoning.
