Tips for Preventing or Removing a Ring Around a Poultice
Estimated Reading Time: 1 MinutesSometimes, when a poultice is removed there is a ring or halo around the previously stained area. The halo or ring is usually caused by remaining residue of poultice.
This problem can be prevented by placing a clean white paper towel on top of the stain, then applying the poultice on top of the paper towel.
If it is too late for the paper towel tip, here’s how you can remove the ring:
- Try cleaning the halo area with the chemical you used in the poultice and be sure to rinse with plenty of water.
- If this does not remove the halo or ring it is possible that the surrounding area is dirty and the poultice has cleaned the stained area. To remove clean the entire area with a good heavy duty cleaner.
