Can I use a right angle grinder to hone and polish marble furniture tops?

Never use a angle grinder to hone and polish any stone. Angle grinders have speeds that exceed 10,000 rpms and are too fast for honing and polishing. These high speeds will also destroy your diamond abrasives.

TIP If you have right angle grinder you can reduce the speed with a rheostat. Rheostats can be purchased at industrial supply house such as Graingers. Look in the yellow pages under industrial supply.
